Want to know one of my biggest complaints when it comes to hair product? Feeling it afterward.
Like hair spray or gels that make my hair feel crispy and dried out. Or shampoos that clean hair a little too much, (“squeaky clean” is never a good thing when it comes to hair; it means all of the natural oils have been stripped away).
Hair Care Performance is Oribe’s Priority
Luckily for me (and people like me), there’s Oribe (pronounced or-i-BAY). Oribe prides itself in performance. According to their website:
The result is a line of luxurious products that is unique in every category: gels that condition, oils that hold, sprays that don’t flake, skincare-grade shampoos that prep hair for styling and gently balance the scalp, masques that have the richness and body of a lavish moisturizing cream.
Yes! It’s as if the people at Oribe read my mind. But what about the scent? There are so many hair products that have an amazing list of ingredients but kinda ruin it by putting in “parfum” or fragrance that smells cheap and artificial. Oribe spent some serious time coming up with a fragrance that’s not false…but fresh and personalized.
Oribe Hair Care – Redefining Luxurious Hair that Smells Ah-mazing.
The brand collaborated with a legendary 19th-century perfume house to blend its signature fragrance, Côte d’Azur. Embodying the glamour and warmth of the French Riviera, the bright, seductive, shared scent awakens with hints of sun-drenched Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian orange, Aomori apples and leafy greens. Sandalwood, vetiver and crisp amber lend their soft, woody notes, while tuberose and white butterfly jasmine, from Oribe’s native Cuba, create a sensuous and invigorating experience.
Montreal’s Salon Deauville is proud to start carrying the Oribe line (so I can get the product locally. Yay!). Products include Ultra Gentle Shampoo and Conditioner (two of my favorites), Shampoo for Beautiful Color, Serene Scalp Smoothing Leave-on Treatment, Signature Shampoo and Conditioner, Shampoo and Conditioner for Moisture and Control (perfect for Montreal’s cold winters) and more.
It’s a new era for hair care. You don’t have to suffer through the restrictions of hair product that’s lacking in one area or another. Oribe put a lot of thought behind their hair care line (seriously, a perfume made just for their line?). With the time and effort I spend on my hair, I can trust in Oribe’s cut-above-the-rest professionalism.
Their website is full of cool information as well. Here’s a quick “messy bun” tutorial that I found super helpful:
