The Updo is Back…But More Relaxed.

But it’s trending hard, so it must be mentioned. Besides, all updos are not created equal. The updos that are big this season are decidedly softer and more relaxed than your mother’s updo, sprayed within an inch of its life.

Like the one pictured above, 2022 bridal updos are also adorned with jewels, tiaras and mini-crowns.

Loose Chignons

The Chignon has never really gone out of style. And it’s no surprise as to why. It’s classically stylish, elegant and very romantic. But what is a chignon exactly? It’s a knot or coil of hair (in this picture, braided hair) that lays on the neck. It’s a great hairstyle for a long day, with little upkeep needed. And seriously…so pretty!

Natural Color and Texture Embraced and Enhanced.

Since the pandemic, people have grown more accustomed to their natural hair color and texture, not “fighting it” but working with what they have. Plus brides are feeling more comfortable in their own skin. They want to be themselves on their Big Day! This means natural color (slightly enhanced with toner or a few highlights perhaps) and working with their natural texture. A slightly upscale version of their hair on a normal day, basically.
